BLOWING-American Flag

This work describes a tumultuous relationship with the American Flag. The videos and film still are generated from “SOFT,” “EATING,” "SILENCED," and “BLOWING"- American Flag and are part of a larger body of work that includes 10 short videos intended to be viewed running all on a loop. In this work, I use myself as an object and the flag as a subject to explore the symbiotic relationship between the immigrant and this land. This work reveals the relevance and consequence of the melding and hybridizing of American culture.
